I recently held this beauty being North: K, AKJ965, AJ62, KQ
Bidding:
W - N - E - S
(P) - 1H - (P) - 1P
(P) - 3K - (P) - 3NT
(P) - 5H - (P) - 6H
My partner held this amazing hand: A9864, 8, K, AJ8742
First off: Yes, 7C is a pretty decent spot. Yes, the bidding is ... debatable. 6H makes as hearts are luckily 3-3 but this is not the matter.
Now my questions:
How would you open my hand?
Should we find 7C and if so, how?

No ideas? Come on people =)
Re: Lately in hell...
I would bid 2C and not 1S. Playing 2/1, this establishes a GF and I can show longer clubs than spades.

Re: Lately in hell...
That sure helps. I think the bidding would then go something like this:
W - N - E - S
(P) - 1H - (P) - 2C
(P) - 3K - (P) - 3S
(P) - 5H - (P) - ??
But how after that? The bidding goes into uncharted territory for me. Maybe 5S or 6C by S?

Re: Lately in hell...
You have 21H and partner has made a 2/1GF. You probably have a small slam and perhaps a grand. However you need to find a fit. So why preempt the auction with 3D. I would bid 2D, hoping partner supports with 4 or shows delayed heart support. As it is he will bid 2 spades (natural or partner bid NT with a spade stopper or an advance cue bid). Opener will rebid 3H and responder will show his 65 by bidding 3S. Opener can now support clubs with 4C and responder can now cue and the club grand should be found.

Re: Lately in hell...
Hmm.. I agree, hindsight 3D is pretty stupid
Re: Lately in hell...
With 5 losers to bid 5H looks optimist (I try not to use the word ridiculous) but I understand the problem, the real solution is to play like all very good international players Gazilli ....... also to bid 3 NT with 12 looks not realistic, 4C looks the reasonable spot.
